Svaneti Family Tour from Kutaisi - Mountains you should visit in Georgia

Day 1 - Arrival in Kutaisi - Martvili Canyon Boat Tour - Enguri Dam - Night in Mestia

After arriving at Kutaisi airport we will drive to Martvili Canyon. Here we will board the boat and explore the beautiful green canyon. After that, we will continue driving to Mestia and stop at Enguri Dam to look at one of the biggest dam in the world.

In the evening we will reach Mestia.

Day 2 - Chalaadi Glacier - Mestia Museum - Hatsvali Cable Cars - Heshkili Huts -Night in Mestia

Your journey begins with a visit to the breathtaking Chalaadi Glacier, where you'll witness the raw beauty of nature up close. Hiking through the rugged terrain, you'll be surrounded by towering peaks and alpine landscapes as you make your way to this majestic glacier. (Distance – 5km, Elevation Gain/Loss – 350m).

Then we will head to the Mestia Museum, where you'll delve into the rich history and heritage of the Svaneti region.

Next, it's time for a thrilling ride on the Hatsvali Cable Cars, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. As you ascend to the heights, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas.

And for an extra dose of local flavor, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Heshkili huts. Nestled amidst the mountains, there you can take amazing pictures while swinging on the swing.

Day 3 - Ushguli Daytour - Lamaria church - Night in Mestia

We continue our tour to Ushguli, one of Svaneti's most picturesque locations.

Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Mestia to Ushguli, passing through stunning mountain landscapes and quaint villages along the way. As we approach Ushguli, you'll be greeted by the sight of ancient stone towers rising against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

Our first stop in Ushguli is Lamaria Church, a historic landmark dating back to the 10th century. This beautifully preserved church is adorned with intricate frescoes and offers a glimpse into Georgia's rich religious and cultural heritage.

After exploring Lamaria Church, we will take some time to wander through the cobblestone streets of Ushguli, soaking in the unique atmosphere of this remote mountain village. Ushguli is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is full of Svan defense towers. Above us, Shkhara, Georgia's highest peak, will stands tall and proud.

In the evening we will return to Mestia.

Day 4 - Okatse Canyon - Prometheus Cave - Return to Kutaisi

On the last day of Svaneti tour in Georgia we will visit Okatse Canyon, where you'll be mesmerized by its breathtaking landscapes and thrilling suspension bridge walkways. Here we will take a walk in a beautiful nature and take photos from the bridges hanging on the rock.

We will continue the day with a visit to the enchanting Prometheus Cave guided tour. The magic cave is full with stunning curtains of stalactites and stalagmites lighted by LED lights.

At the end of the tour we will return to Kutaisi.
